![]() ![]() This tool obviously needs some refinement. I just tried another image from the web with huge curles and it indeed didn't do a good job. I did a test some time ago with a girl with small curles, wich was fine. You still can't decontaminate the veils of the background colour. Even though we were able to see better masks, no one was able to produce a usable one for a dark background. ![]() These masks are not the problem, veils are, I think you can't go wrong with either tools( mask AI or Photoshop CC2020) but i have an incling that mask AI will see faster and more updates. Results therefor will also be better and the refinement tools will also be build in. I'll stick to mask AI, since it will be updated regularly. Photoshop CC 2020 also has a new object selection tool wich looks simular to the one in mask AI. The Auto button for selecting an object does a really good job, with a bit of refinement in 10 seconds you got a perfect cut out in under 30 seconds. The AI selection for portraits is pretty good though. These masks are not the problem, veils are, you still can't decontaminate the veils of the background colour. ![]() The OP didn't use the right tools to optimise the AI mask. Was there a usable Mask AI outcome with this pic in the previous thread? If so, I missed it. For that refinement tools are comming in mask Ai. You can select an object with a veuil perfectly but as of yet you can't decontaminate the veil. Veils however are still a problem for mask ai. You're a bit too early, the refinement tools are also comming to mask AI. Mask AI is a little faster, you can do this in under a minute? ![]()
